It started with wanting less.
Less noise. Less excess. Less of the synthetic fragrance that has quietly found its way into so much of everyday life.
But not less scent.
sense • studio • amsterdam was born from a love of fragrance and a desire to experience it differently: through natural aromatic materials, thoughtful composition and objects made with intention.
I work with essential oils, absolutes, resins, woods, roots, flowers and botanical isolates to create fragrances with depth, character and a connection to the materials they come from.
But I am interested in more than perfume alone. I’m fascinated by how scent behaves: on skin, through warmth, in smoke and throughout a space.
The same fragrance takes on a different character depending on how it is experienced. As Eau de Parfum, it moves with the body. As Perfume Oil, it stays closer to the skin. In Japanese-style incense, it slowly transforms the atmosphere. In a candle, it emerges gradually through warmth.
This is why I think of what I make as scent objects: different expressions of the same fragrance world.
Everything is developed in Amsterdam and made in small batches, with an appreciation for the natural variation, texture and character of botanical materials.

About the founder
I’m Gosia, founder of sense • studio • amsterdam.
I created sense • studio at the intersection of two worlds: modern overstimulation and the need to return to nature.
With a background in corporate environments, yoga, and years of working with botanical materials, I became increasingly conscious of how deeply our surroundings affect the way we feel; including what we place on our skin every day.
Over time, I became fascinated by the emotional power of scent: its ability to influence atmosphere, memory, emotion, and the nervous system itself.
I created sense • studio as a response to what I could rarely find: fragrances and self-care objects rooted in nature, emotional depth, and quiet luxury.
Everything is created slowly, using botanical materials and traditional perfumery principles, with the intention of making scent feel grounding, human, and alive.
Every object is designed as emotional architecture; created not only to smell beautiful, but to shift mood, atmosphere, and the way we experience ourselves.
