These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the online shop of sense • studio • amsterdam at sensestudioamsterdam.com.

By placing an order through our webshop, you enter into an agreement with sense • studio • amsterdam and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Products

sense • studio • amsterdam creates and sells handcrafted fragrance and sensory products, including perfume incense, candles, perfumes, perfume oils and other botanical fragrance and body products.

The range of products available through our webshop may change over time.

We make every reasonable effort to describe and photograph our products accurately.

As many of our products are handmade in small batches and contain natural materials, slight variations in appearance, colour, texture, fragrance or finish may occur. These natural variations are part of the character of a handmade product and do not in themselves constitute a defect.

Product availability is subject to stock.

3. Product use & safety

Products must be used in accordance with the instructions and safety information provided on the product, packaging and/or relevant product page.

Candles and incense involve an open flame or burning material and must never be left burning unattended. Keep burning products away from children, pets, flammable materials, draughts and other potential hazards.

The customer is responsible for following the supplied usage and safety instructions.

4. Prices

All prices shown in the webshop are in euros (€) and include applicable VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Shipping costs are not included in the displayed product price unless stated otherwise.

For orders within the Netherlands, applicable shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout before the order is completed.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been placed and confirmed.

5. Orders

An order is placed when you complete the checkout process and submit your order through our webshop.

After placing an order, you will receive an electronic order confirmation.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a clear pricing or technical error, a product is unexpectedly unavailable, payment cannot be completed, or there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or misuse.

If we cancel an order after payment has already been received, the relevant amount will be refunded.

6. Payment

Payments made through our webshop are processed securely through Squarespace Payments.

The payment methods currently available to you are displayed at checkout and may vary depending on your location, device or other applicable factors.

Payment must be successfully completed or authorised before an order can be processed.

sense • studio • amsterdam does not directly receive or store your complete payment card or bank account details. Payment information is processed by Squarespace Payments and its payment processing partners in accordance with their applicable terms and privacy practices.

7. Shipping & delivery

We currently accept webshop orders for delivery within the Netherlands.

For delivery to another EU country, please contact info@sensestudioamsterdam.com before placing an order.

Orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 working days after payment has been received.

Because our products are prepared, finished and packed by hand, occasionally a product may require additional preparation. In these cases, dispatch may take up to 7 working days.

Shipping costs for orders within the Netherlands are calculated and displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

8. Right of withdrawal

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you generally have the statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason.

You must inform us of your decision to withdraw within the applicable withdrawal period.

You can exercise this right using the withdrawal function provided on our website, the model withdrawal form, or by contacting us at info@sensestudioamsterdam.com.

Please contact us before physically sending a return. We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal request and provide return instructions.

After notifying us of your withdrawal, the products must be returned within the applicable statutory period.

The direct cost of returning the products is the customer's responsibility.

9. Condition of returned products

During the withdrawal period, you may handle and inspect a product only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Products should be returned complete and, wherever possible, with their original product packaging, labels and branded materials.

If a product has been used, damaged, altered, is incomplete, or has otherwise been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, you may be responsible for the resulting reduction in value.

This includes, where applicable, candles that have been burned and incense that has been burned, consumed or returned incomplete.

Any resulting reduction in value may be deducted from the amount refunded where permitted by applicable law.

10. Refunds

Refunds following a valid withdrawal will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and our Shipping & Returns Policy.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned products or you have supplied evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.

If you withdraw from an entire order, the original cost of our standard delivery method will be reimbursed as required by law. Additional costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method are not reimbursed.

The direct cost of returning products to sense • studio • amsterdam is not reimbursed.

11. Damaged, defective or incorrect products

We take care in making, inspecting and packing every order.

If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to your order, please contact us at info@sensestudioamsterdam.com as soon as reasonably possible.

Please include your order number and, where relevant, photographs that help us understand the issue.

We will assess the situation and provide an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your statutory rights concerning defective or non-conforming products.

Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate your complaint, including your order number where applicable.

We aim to respond to customer enquiries and complaints within a reasonable period.

13. Intellectual property

The sense • studio • amsterdam name, branding, product names, photographs, designs, graphics, written content and other original materials appearing on sensestudioamsterdam.com belong to sense • studio • amsterdam or are used with permission.

They may not be reproduced, distributed, commercially exploited or used without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

14. Personal data

When you place an order or otherwise use our webshop, we may process personal information necessary to process your order, communicate with you and operate the webshop.

Information about how we collect, use and protect personal information is provided in our Privacy Policy.

15. Liability

sense • studio • amsterdam is responsible for its obligations under the purchase agreement and applicable law.

We are not responsible for damage resulting from improper use of a product, failure to follow provided usage or safety instructions, or use of a product for a purpose for which it was not intended, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our webshop, products or applicable regulations.

The Terms & Conditions that apply to your purchase are those made available to you when you place your order.

17. Applicable law

These Terms & Conditions and agreements concluded through our webshop are governed by Dutch law.

If you are a consumer residing elsewhere in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection granted to you under the laws of your country of residence.

Any disputes will be handled by the competent court in accordance with applicable law.
